Prepping Students for the AP Macro and/or AP Micro Exam

College Board Content Videos

College Board did a fantastic job adding the Daily Videos to AP Classroom this year.  The videos are clear and concise.  Each topic may have two or three videos.  I assign these to the students through AP Classroom and I can see if they have watched them or not.  I also remind them of these videos before they take a unit test.  This may be too many videos to watch before the exam, but very helpful if they are struggling with a specific topic.

Advanced Placement YouTube Channel

For the 2020 AP Exams, College Board put out review videos on their Advanced Placement YouTube Channel.  These videos went over each section and had a few videos for each unit.  They were really helpful since almost everyone was learning remotely right before the AP exams.

They are providing these live streams again this year.  The videos do no appear to be organized by unit, but cover all the important concepts.  I really appreciate these reviews because I have students that had AP Micro first semester and they need to refresh that material.  PLUS, there’s actual practice included!!

Unit Reviews

At the end of each unit, I have students fill in a unit review.  I have them start filling in everything they know, then go back and look up and fill in information that they didn’t know.  These reviews are a nice way to consolidate all the important topics from each unit into one document.  I’ve also made them digital with Google Slides so students can fill the in electronically.

Running out of time? You can give students the filled-in version (answer key) as a study guide.
